Students will practice controlling the breath 3 Students will play melody of Good King Wenceslas on recorder 4. Students will sing through concert repertoire in preparation for Holiday Concert 5. Students will feel accomplished and confident for the upcoming performance Materials: 1. Box of class recorders 2. Good King W. sheet notation 3. Students will quietly sit in their assigned spots on the carpet 2. Attendance GAMES (intersperse between lessons) (10 minutes) Pass the BatoneS: 2 note phrases with C + D 1. Play C+ D in any fashion and make eye contact with the receiver of the tone 2. If receiver misses the melody they are allowed two more chances 3. After the third missed batone the class plays the answer cued by teacher 4. Keep a quick pace (1 round : 20 students: 5 minutes) Hot Cross Buns Review 1. Everybody play a B 2. Everybody play an A 3. Everybody Play a G 4. Put on Track (Baroque Method Book 1) Hiss & Play 1. Inhale for 4 counts (and then in one breath...) a. Hiss 2 counts (with fingers on D) b. Play D for 2 counts c.
